Where We Work
Greene County is home ground and Springfield is the county seat. From here we run north into Polk and Dallas counties, east into Webster County, and south into Christian County. The work sits where the gravel roads and the acreages are, which means it starts a few minutes past the last subdivision and keeps going.
The ground is not the same in every direction. This is the Springfield Plateau, cherty and rocky, with the depth to limestone changing property by property. Ozark valleys are narrow and they fall steeply, so a lot of what lands on a hillside arrives at the bottom as moving water. The ditch at the end of your driveway is the bottom of one of those small catchments, and its size has more to do with the hill behind you than with the road in front of you.
The ring towns each give us a different job. Fair Grove sits about fourteen miles north of Springfield on US 65. Willard is eleven or twelve miles out, in the northern part of the county. Ash Grove is roughly twenty-two miles northwest by road on US 160. Rogersville straddles the Webster and Greene county line about nineteen road miles southeast on US 60, and it sits on the James River. Marshfield is about twenty-seven miles east on I-44, on old Route 66, and it is the Webster County seat. Buffalo, the Dallas County seat, is roughly thirty-seven road miles north on US 65. Bolivar, the Polk County seat, is about thirty miles north. Seymour is out in southeastern Webster County.

One thing changes as you cross those county lines. The road authority does. Some roads belong to a county highway department and some belong to an independent road district, and the permit follows whoever maintains the road. We sort that out for your address before we quote a number.
